Education & Musical Experience:
Lisa Abrams has a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Music Education from Capital University, Columbus Ohio.
She has been teaching professionally, both in schools and privately, since graduation. She currently writes music curriculum for shools, nationally, as well as being a private music coach. She has taught general music grades K-8 in the parochial school system. She has been the music director for several churches where she has directed adult choirs, praise teams, bell choir, children's choirs and chimes ensembles. She also accompanied each ensemble on piano, guitar and organ.
She has been performing since she was a teenager and has many years of experience as a performer. She is lead singer and guitarist for the group Timber Ridge, a group she and her husband lead. Their debut CD was voted 3rd out of the top 50 releases in 2000.
She is well known for her work as a vocalist, guitarist, pianist, teacher, director and composer. She has been the featured vocalist with the Civic Choral Society. She has played and accompanied many different groups for countless events. She has been guitarist with the Pittsburgh Mandolin Orchestra.
